Eagles Favre Has Put The Rumors To Bed
Just after the rumors that Brett Favre NFL Sunday began to heat a water thrown over him.
The day started promising with a report that Favre was not possible to sign the Eagles, this week is likely to trade backup passer Kevin Kolb, the Arizona Cardinals.
Eagles quarterback Mike Vick was clearly caught in the hype as he wrote in his Twitter account verified "would be honored to have Brett Favre as a backup ... surprising to learn to play with the defenses of how did. "It apparently has all the attention, which argued that there is a ridiculous one voice, as the Eagles, who otherwise enjoyed a quiet Sunday. In private, they are not interested in Favre.
Coincidentally, perhaps tweet was conspicuously absent Vick Twitter schedule later in the day.
But Favre is discarded altogether, if something terrible happened to Vick. Favre, 41, knows enough about the West Coast offense to run without station. The only real question is whether his throwing arm and shoulder are at least another year in the NFL.
All that said, Eagles would have a much better blocking a little 'youngest veteran when treated for Kolb. Tarvaris Jackson (Vikings), and probably Vince Young (Titans) could be made available for free will.
Free will begin this weekend that the players are expected to re-certification as a union and vote by NFL owners settlement agreement last week. A vote of the majority needed to approve what would be the new collective agreement.
Favre has a good relationship with the Eagles, Andy Reid, head coach.
What about crime and does not need to pitch and win games offseason, Favre might be able to help in an emergency.
If Vick was sidelined by an injury, there is always the possibility that a guy like Favre could step in and help.
Locker room would certainly be more lively with the addition of Favre. But it might not be a good thing. Ask the New York Jets.
