Amy Winehouse Death
The Amy Winehouse death shocked and saddened her many fans. The singer was only 27 years old.
She was found dead at her apartment in London on Saturday. The cause of death remains unknown.
"On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained," said a police statement, reported the UK Press Association.
Winehouse was a controversial singer and had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. On news of her death, though, celebrities and fans alike poured out grief and condolences.

The document rants against members of the European elite, who described as "multiculturalists" and "promoters of Islamization," and warned they would be punished for his "treason."

Amy Winehouse cut a tragic figure last night as she stumbled through the streets of Camden looking worse than ever. The singer, who has largely keep out of public view in recent weeks, was a guest DJ at her local pub the Monarch, where she emerged in a dishevelled, bleary-eyed state. A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. The Back To Black singer was found at the property by emergency services at 3.54pm, and it's believed Winehouse's death was due to a suspected drug overdose, Daily Mail reports.
The Brit and Mercury prize-winner had struggled with drink and drug addiction and had recently spent time in rehab. A spokesman for the late singer said: "Everyone involved with Amy is shocked and devastated. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. The family will issue a statement when ready."
