'Single Ladies' Gets Season 2 Pickup VH1
Ladies picked VH1 scripted comedy drama for a second season only.

"Our viewers have fallen in Single Ladies and honesty, the modern view of love, friendship and dating women," said Jeff Olde, VP original programming and production of VH1. "We are pleased to give the public another great season of the series they like."
The first series of the network scripts hour an average of 2.8 million total viewers on Monday Basketball wives. Single Ladies wraps its freshman season on August 8.
"My partner [executive producer] Shakim [Compere] and I are very excited that Single Ladies was so well received," Latifah said Monday in a statement announcing the news. "We knew from the beginning this show appeals to people everywhere is fun, sexy and smart. We are very pleased we were able to join VH1 to find a big house for this amazing show."
Single Ladies will resume production in the fall for season two arc in 2012.
