ah, the age-old question of what to get somebody for their wedding anniversary. well, now your problem is solved! go here to see what the traditional wedding gift is for whichever anniversary year. they break it down by:

*Year
*Traditional Gift
*Modern Gift
*Alternate Gift
*Flowers
*Alternate Stones

and now, time for lovely wedding pics that I spent wayyy too much time on google image looking up

white trash wedding

becky vs. becky

I love this picture. roseanne (the tv show) was really funny I thought. but I hateddd the new becky (even though I don't mind the actress). she was just way too pretty and classy to be roseann's daughter!
and it's funny b/c even now the old becky looks totally white trash. ah, white trash. this picture rules.

this is exactly how I feel about gay marriage

(and btw, I think that this image is going to be the iconic image and the one that is in textbooks in the future whenever somebody references the struggle for gay marriage to become legal)

Beauty on the Cheap

I kind of feel like it's the great depression all over again with this recession marketing/ propaganda popping up all over the place, aka commercials that tell you how to cook dinner for less than a fiver, how to cut your energy bills, whatever.

anyway, this is one thing i found really useful. it's from Paula Begoun, who is the woman who writes the Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without me books and does reviews of like every beauty product/ shampoo/ lotion ever. I got this is her e-mail from her and it's really cheap cosmetics that she thinks are just as good as expensive ones if you are experiencing a credit crunch. I have been putting off buying new moisturizer because i feel guilty about spending so much on it when i don't even want to buy organic fruit anymore because of the price, but maybe i will try one of her cheapies instead.

Here is the article.
