orly?

officially, columbia pictures has decided to make a ghosbusters 3, under the condition that all the main original cast members would return.

into it? I had my first kiss while watching the original ghostbusters, nananana!!! I never saw the second one, but I will go see this one. the writers from "the office" are doing the script, so hopefully it won't suck (talking to you, new indiana jones).

and just for fun:

found-photo websites

I am bored and wanted to find some funny found-photo websites, but only really found this one. It wasn't that sweet (I wanted a website where people post hilarious found photos, but they took this one seriously and posted any photo they found), but I still found a couple good ones. see below.

and I love this one so much. I really really really want an old 1-piece 70s/80s bathing suit like this. but not a real one from a thrift store where some girl's cooter has been all up in it. a new one! the debwa store will commission a bathing suit company to make them like this.

if anyone has any better found-photo websites, please post them!

EDIT: link is fixed

I really want one of these for my IH!

I think there is something star wars-related coming out soon, b/c I keep hearing things about star wars (aka carrie fischer boned harrison ford), and this is the latest thing --- I guess in the late 80s/early 90s there was a huge panasonic/star wars ad thing going on in japan, some amazing posters/billboards came out of it, and somebody recently made a top 10 list of it.
here are my favorite ones.

I really would love any of these to frame and put up at my IH, especially the first one:

girls just want to have fun

omg last night I was watching "the best man" and during a commercial I changed the channel and I came across this movie
which I had never seen before but immediately started to watch (it was about 30 min in). it is amazing. a total 80s teen movie that incorporates all the best parts of 80s teen movies (and sjp is in it).
for example there was:
  • a strict parent and annoying sibling
  • a cute "bad" boy
  • a cool best friend that has amazing 80s new wave fashion sense (helen hunt!)
  • the bitchy rich girl who is sjp's nemesis
  • a young-later-became-famous person (shannen doherty)
  • a yuppie party that is crashed by 1) fashion punks, 2) new wavers, 3) women body builders, 4) a motorcycle gang, 5) art weirdos <---aka best scene in the movie
  • a dance-off

overall, I was way into it. as everybody knows, I did not have a childhood, so this could definitely be one of those movies that I just totally missed and everyone else saw, but if you haven't seen this, go netflix it now

this is sjp, shannen doherty, and helen hunt watching the party they made everybody crash

sjp's hair totally changes from scene to scene. like one second it will be blown out straight, then in the next shot it is way puffy, then the next shot it is straight again. too funny

sjp is the straight and narrow gal and helen hunt is the bff rebel ("rebel")

requisite 80s movie rich bitch

Here is a classic quote:
[Drew sees a pretty girl walk by]
Drew: "Hey, beautiful, stop lookin', you found me!"
[Girl turns around. It is Maggie.]
Maggie: "Great!"
Jeff: "Nice goin', Drew. I always wanted you for a brother-in-law."
Drew: "She's a punk."
Maggie: "You really think I'm punk? Wow, that's outrageous! I mean, it's not as cool as new wave, but it's a lot better than pre-teen!"

whoa. I just found the final "dance-off" scene, so if you have 6 minutes to kill, I would def recommend this:

ps if anyone has seen this movie, at the rich chick's party you know how there is a band? is the drummer bruce willis? b/c it really really looks like it but I think he was famous by 1985 so then why would he be in it? right?

the cool kids

no, really, that's their name

apparently they are 2 fellas named Mikey and Chuck from chicago...their influence is 80s and 90s rap...this video is for their song black mags from their album called totally flossed out

I saw a commercial w/ them where the one bp is wearing one of those pastel t-shirts with a wolf on them and mr jones and I were into it.

oh that reminds me. a month ago mr jones was at the eye doctor and I was in the waiting room and I saw this fatty white trashy across from me in her late 30s and she was wearing a faded black sweatshirt with three wolves on it and underneath in cursive it said "protectors of nature." it was amazing.
