Evidence: HTC 3D Ages, Before The Country, 3-D Without Glasses Smartphone

Evidence: HTC 3D Ages, Before The Country, 3-D Without Glasses Smartphone
HTC Evo line of smartphones running Android are big on first: the Evo 4G 4G is the phone first time in America (as currently defined, at least), and its successor, the 3D Evo is the first nation to provide glass without stereoscopic 3-D screens, which Nintendo 3DS. It's actually a nice phone but it does not do much to convince us that stereoscopic 3-D is good for nothing but games.

What's New

3D Evo has changed in some subtle ways from its predecessor, the Evo 4G. It features a dual-core processor rather than Evo 4G is single-core, with more memory. The software has been improved as well; Evo 3D is the latest version of the skin HTC Android, Sense 3.0, lying on top of the latest version of Android, gingerbread. But the biggest is a 3-D: the screen can display without glasses stereoscopic 3-D and its dual lens camera (on the back, but also regular 2-D front camera) can take video and still photography in the third dimension.

What is good

Phone is quite good! HTC has changed the aspect ratio of 16:9, when the phone longer and thinner than the 4G Ages I'm not a big fan of this decision, because it can be difficult to reach the top of the giant 4.3-inch screen, especially for those with small hands. In addition, the design is really nice - much more subtle, such as the Thunderbolt HTC, and more interesting to watch. Structured Back brands and Evo-closed-circle buttons are a nice touch. More power and a more sophisticated version of the Android phone will be very snappy to use. Sense of 3.0 is too complicated and spectacular - expect a lot of completely unnecessary animations, and bajillion very similar to the widget - but it offers some features and a sense of cohesion that Android is lacking at times.

Locking the screen that shows the weather and gives you a shortcut to the camera, phone, email and messaging software is a good example: it is just and useful on paper but in fact there is nothing more efficient than using a simple Unlocker.

It comes with a 3-D game, Ultimate Spider-Man: Mayhem in total, it is time to have fun - about as good as a mid-tier game for the Nintendo 3DS, which means that it is worth playing. Not to brag, but this is proof of our theory that the 3-D is the best in the game, not movies or TV.

Oh, and the camera button is perfect. Other phone makers: Steal This Button galore. It actually feels like a camera shutter button, two-stage to take pictures and everything. I want it on every phone I buy from now on.

What's wrong

The 3-D is bad. It takes place almost as much as I expected - and all the application screens HTC custom house have regular 2-D, including the replacement of HTC Twitter, email, calendar, messaging and applications. It is shocking that turn on a phone with "3-D" in the name and have to dig around the list of applications to find something that is actually 3-D.

But when you can not find a 3-D stuff - There are some games in 3-D, App Gallery shows 3-D images, and you can watch movies in 3-D - You might wonder why I even bothered. The effect is much worse than the Nintendo 3DS: the pictures are very shiny, moving around if you change the point of view, even a small amount. The correct angle of vision is far too special - If you change the part, up and down or back and forth, you lose the effect.

The included 3-D images of the sample is given me a headache, the effect is the opposite of exciting because you feel you have to manually adjust your eyeballs to face the prospect of fuzzy phone pranks played on you. There's this time of transition from 2-D 3-D, while browsing through pictures that are legitimately painful, your eyes struggle to change their views. There is no way to dial down power as the Nintendo 3DS - it's either on or off. Some of the photos we had finished looking well, but in general we have chosen to ignore the gallery fully 3-D.

Verdict

3D Evo is actually a very desirable - if there was a 2D Evo HTC, this phone with 3-D elements brainwashed, it would be more dignified than its predecessor revolutionary. And we are not judged to use 3-D, which many call a tech gadget. We have nothing against gimmicks, in fact, we love gimmicks. But we love them when they are fun, but the pleasure is superficial or short term. The 3D gimmick Evo is weird: it feels like you do not use it often enough, but when you use it, it is actively unpleasant. The final verdict? If you're on Sprint, get a 4G Nexus S, unless you are a very specific type of masochist who wants to watch Avatar on a 4.3 inch screen and headaches while doing it.
