TOSCA To Pay Tribute To The Late James Seaver

The Topeka Opera Society Concert Association will be at 3:00 Sunday in Marvin Auditorium, Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 SW 10th, to present a tribute to James Seaver, a professor at the University of Kansas there from 1952 to his death in March was hosting the weekly radio program, "Opera is my hobby," the Kansas Public Radio.

Large collection of opera recordings Seaver allowed him to share many great voices of the past with his audience. Seaver Opera Collection was donated to the Archives of the sound recording at the university.
TOSCA is under 33 years of history, has presented many programs for the group and Seaver was preparing at the time of his death. A short film about the life Seaver has created by his son to celebrate 90 years teacher will be presented to the tribute, which the public is invited. A reception will follow the light of the free program.
