Weeds' Jenji Kohan: The Family Of Nancy Rebel Season 7

Weeds' Jenji Kohan: The Family Of Nancy Rebel Season 7
After three years in prison, Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) will be released in Season 7 Premiere of weeds - and not everyone is happy.

His family, it will first hide his release, will be back in Copenhagen, hoping for answers and absolution. But Nancy just wants to "back to basics" direction Jenji Kohan tells TVGuide.com, adding that three of the series' mare was "a risk, but we needed to shake. "

Weeds final post-mortem: Creator Jenji Kohan says show could end after next season

If last year was Nancy's past catching up with her, how about this year is about?

Jenji Kohan: This year is the chicken coming home to roost. You can take your family far away before they start to rebel, to some extent, and this is what happens next. A large number of mistakes he made, she may have to face today. These are the mistakes she made with her children and the places that anything like that.

How does he treat his family with a problem?

Kohan: I think he got a job to do. He has not solved a lot of problems for people in his family and he needs to do some work on this trick. Shane [Alexander Gould], to a certain extent, is certainly grateful. Silas [Hunter Parrish] will be a tough cookie and I think that Andy [Justin Kirk] is increasingly open, so do not think it will be difficult.

Andy continues to harbor feelings of Nancy. In his mind, are destined to be together?

Kohan: No, I do not. It would be nice, but ultimately, I do not think it's in the stars for them. The problem is that these children and Andy, it is their True North, it is based on their touchstone. They keep finding yourself back because they are so loose in all other parts of their lives, and it is their constant, so they will find themselves returning to it, if it is the healthy choice or not. In a way, it kind of them trained for this response for her.

What about the prison learned of Nancy?

Kohan: Not much. [Laughs.] Maybe I learned more crime because prison can be a school for crime, and perhaps explore some of the Sapphic itself, but in terms of repentance or reform just is not Nancy.

What can you say about Nancy's business this year?

Kohan: It's back to basics as a pot dealer. There she cut her teeth as she is good and what she likes. She needs to find his way in. She needs something to trade and start with nothing. Nancy just wants to go back to what it does.

Martin Short, Aidan Quinn as guest stars, among the weeds

Guest stars this season are Martin Short, and Aidan Quinn. What can you say about them?

Kohan: one is of potential interest for the love of Nancy, you can probably guess which. [Laughs.] And you're a lawyer Nancy in her time of need. [Character short] is a little twisted, but I think it has a good lawyer. He likes [secret prison], and to combine them. It is the currency of Nancy, because it is a narrative junkie and loves a good story. There is also a distinct possibility that some faces from the past reappear.

Each season, Nancy manages to get a guy hot. Is it fair to Quinn's character?

Kohan: There are over a guy. This is Nancy, she is a woman of appetites. But it tends to leave behind a trail of bodies in its wake. I doubt [there is hope for her] because it is damaged. One can always hope - because every pot has its lid. Perhaps his madness will mesh with each other.

When we pointed out, you said may be season 7 Weeds "last year. Is that still the plan?

Kohan: I only know that my shop is up and we have not yet taken. I am preparing to write the ending, which could go in either direction. We have different versions. I am a designer. [Laughs.]
