Seven Killed In Road Accident
SALEM: At least seven passengers, including a woman, were killed and several others seriously injured when a private bus on the way to Salem and Dharmapuri in an omni bus from Bangalore to Kerala collided near the village in Bangalore Salem Road Pannapatti National Saturday night.
Wrong Lane
Preliminary reports said the bus had moved to Bangalore in the wrong lane, causing the accident. Drivers, the line is dead.
The identities of the deceased are not yet established. Ambulances and fire and rescue personnel from Salem and Omalur moved the wounded to hospitals in Omalur and Salem.
Police Commissioner NM Mylvahanan oversee rescue operations.
